Kendall's Journey part 1

After many hours of computer work, I finnaly figured out how to post the pics to music. Once I did it it was so easy, I don't why I couldn't figure it out earlier. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the first part of many to come. I think my favorite part is of course going to the part when we bring her home!

  1. I went thought this same thing about 1 year ago with my bestfriend/sister. We went to the ER for what we thought was kidney stones but turned out to be AML. That was August 27th 2008 but August 31st 2008 when started our first round of MANY chemo treatments. Let me say we were on the cancer floor and for 2- 30 year olds who have never been around anything like this it was SCAREY! Even though knowing that if GOD brought you to it HE would bring you through but the human side we were scared. My friend who has no family is the strongest person I know.In the 8 months that we dealt with the AML I heard her say once that she was scared. That was right before the first treatment of chemo. Let me tell you this was a HARD time but a very learning time for my family and I. I seen my best friend just take this cancer and tackle it as it was nothing. Looking around her floor we seen people who could not even lift up their head but not my friend. She went through 2 weeks of Chemo straight getting it twice a day to still bouncing around being her happy self. We did hit a few bumps in the road but nothing you can't get through. What I'm telling you is please try to keep her spirits up and try not to let her get down. The mind is a POWERFUL thing. She is going to go through about 3 weeks to where she feels bad but just remind her this will pass. I guess it hit us about the 16th day after chemo. Just tackle this cancer and let it know that you have control over your body. Today is August 14, 2009 and we have been in remission since the introduction phase. We have completed all the treatments and better to my friend has had 2 HAIR CUTS! Just please keep your head up and rest when she rest and know that everything will be okay.

Darryl, Tammy and Kendall, You all are so strong and in our prayers. Alyssa was actually on her way to see Kendall the day of her transport to Houston. we both wanted to see her before she left, but were grateful at her chance for a bed. we have our bracelets on and, again, have you all in our prayers.
