What Do You Think About

Thinking good thoughts, thinking about what is the right thing to do and thanking God for the chance to do all of this. Trying to be a little upbeat tonight as I write this. Another day in the journey with Kendall almost complete. We were a little sad today as we had to take Emily to the airport. We so enjoyed her being able to spend time with Kendall. They had such a good time but it seemed to go by really fast. But just a few more days until we are able to spend time at our home. Kendall is still trying to catch a fever. I'm just glad it's not getting to high. I spring into action when it goes above 99 degrees . Call it paranoid, but now is not the time to get a fever. We don't have to go to the doctor until Tuesday, so not much planned for tomorrow.

We talked to Dylan today and he was in better spirits about his arm. We will have to take him to the doctor this week to find out whether or not his arm is broke.

I hope this verse finds its way into your day tomorrow. Not only does it have 4:8 in it, it also has "whatever" in it. Everywhere I look, I find verses that seem to put meaning into my life. Hard to imagine that so few words have such an impact on my life.
Word of God, I hear you.

  1. I had an amazing week with yall and i agree it went by way too fast..maybe cuz we slept so much? ha I cannot thank yall enough for everything yall do! It was VERY good for me to spend so much time with Kendall and get to see first hand what she experiences on those long doctor visits...they truly are exhausting! Im excited I only have to go three days before i get to see yall again! oh and Ken all i have to say is WATER WATER WATER...keep that fever down girl we have way too many fun activities planned for you to be gettin sick! I love love love yall to the moon and back!

    Oh and Roll Tide to you Daryl, let me know when you see Auburn on that top 25 list hahaha :))

  3. Countdown - two days left!!!

    Good Monday TK,

    Today's post sounds so encourging and inspiring. That you can not only look for your silver lining, but live it is simply breathtaking. Thank you for your example of daily life, functioning under stress and emotion and caring and loving as we all should.

    As I've watched the past two or so months, I see a recurring theme in the way your family conducts itself. Running. While you were still in BHam at SVH and preparing for the wedding...it was one big run: run to the hosp, run to the house, run to the church, run to the rehearsal dinner, run to the hosp...and over and over again. Since some of you have been in Houston, it's the same...run here, run there, check on everyone, and at home - it's the same--run to school, practice, homework, dinner, grass, dogs - run run run. Whew, I'm tired.

    So...today's thought - "When the gazelle wakes up it knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed. When the lion wakes up it knows it must outrun the slowest gazelle or it will starve. It doesn't matter whether you are a gazelle or a lion...when the sun comes up you'd better be running."

    Can't wait to see you guys. Prayers that your time at home will give you some much needed rest from your race(s), that family togetherness will be all you dream of, that your needs are met and your anxiety lessened. Please Father pour out your blessings and graces. Thank you and praise you. In His Name...
